Elections - The annual election of officers for each office of the American Legion and Sons of The American Legion will take place in May. Legion elections will take place at the regular monthly meeting on the second Tuesday with the S.A.L. elections at the regular monthly meeting on the third Sunday.
Memorial Day - Parade in West Colesville begins at 9am. Parade in Harpursville begins at 11 am at the school parking lot with wreath laying ceremonies at the elementary school, creek under Main Street, center of town including a Post Everlasting Service, the cemetery on Rte 79 and finally at the Veteran's Memorial at the Legion. Once the parade concludes at the Legion we invite you to stay and enjoy the chicken BBQ.
JUNE 14th Flag Day - Flag disposal ceremony. If you have a worn flag, give it the proper disposal it deserves. You can drop off your flag at the Legion or better yet, bring it to the ceremony and take part in and witness the proper, dignified disposal befitting our national standard.
JULY Super Celebration - The famous chicken BBQ.
